Zoo Part II

Zoo Part I

Our last stop on our staycation was the zoo. It was so fun. They had a bird exhibit while we were there and it was neat. You could hold a feeder and they would just come right up and eat it. P loved it. Once again he wanted to grab the bird so we had to keep it out of reach. I just love the zoo. It is so relaxing to me. I am glad that Joe and p both love the zoo as well. I see many more zoo visits in the future. I broke this post into 2 parts since I took so many pictures.

P got his first tummy virus Sunday/Monday. It was so sad to see him get sick. We felt so helpless. He ran fever and got sick about 3 times, poor little boy. The doctor said it just had to run it's course. I am thankful he is back to his happy go lucky self today. Although still a little weak.

The Peabody

On our staycation we took pax to see the Peabody and the ducks. The Peabody is one of the south's oldest hotels. It is so pretty, I just love it. It really adds to downtown Memphis. P loved the ducks. Of course he kept trying to grab them. The Peabody has ducks in the lobby that hang out in the lobby fountain. Everyday at certain times the handlers bring the ducks down from the rooftop on the elevator and escort them to the fountain. Oh and they walk on red carpet!! Then at night they go back to there rooftop house. These ducks are treated like royalty.LOL We didn't get to see the entrance or exit of the ducks. I wish I would have snapped a picture of there house while we were on the rooftop. The top has a awesome view of the city and it's very relaxing up there. We love the Peabody, it was a great first visit for P.

1st trip to Benihana

When we had our staycation last week, we took pax to Benihana for lunch. Benihana is a hibachi place and so yummy..We thought we would love the fire and the little show that they do. We were right he loved it. To my surprise we ate the salad with ginger dressing. It was so funny to see him eat that. It was such a fun lunch experience, all 3 of us loved it.
I have lots of pictures of other things we did for our staycation. We didn't really have money to go to the beach or anything so we just stayed at home. We are saving for a car so not a lot of extra money these days:(

MDO Fun

Pax has been in MDO for about a month now. He still cries when he is dropped off, oh that is fun. His teachers sent me the below pictures to assure me that he calms down pretty quick. She said once they show him a toy or art stuff he settles down..They also said he is a great eater and napper. Yay for Pax!! I was really starting to doubt myself with sending him to MDO but I think he likes and will turn out to be great. I know he will get the hang of things..We love you sweet boy!!

Fair Time

Labor day weekend we went to the fair. It was pac-man's first time and I am pretty sure he had a great time. We went with my dad and brother. We also met up with our friends Kelly, Travis, Marshall, Candy and Matt. We just walked around checked everything out and of course ate lot's of yummy food. Of course we played a couple of games, no fair trip is complete with out the cheesy games. The weather was good so it madc our time even better. We can't wait to take p back when he is older and can ride rides and walk around.
I love to people watch any place we go but especially the fair. You see all kinds of people, I just can't even believe some of the people we saw. I should have taken a few pictures of those sights..LOL

Labor day weekend the hubs, pax and my brother cory played wiffle ball in the backyard. To my surprise pax loved having his daddy help him hit the ball. He just laughed and laughed. He got the biggest kick out of it. All 3 of the boys had a great time out there. He also loved to just run around the yard with the bat, not a great idea on our part.lol!! I think for Christmas someone just might be getting a toddler size t-ball set. I think he will love it!! I know his daddy will have a great time playing t-ball with him..They were in the shade since the sun was in the batters eyes..ha/ha

Wordless Wednesday

Pax and Mamaw

The below picture is of pax and his mamaw. I took this one morning when I dropped him off. She is p's great grandma. He is one lucky boy, he actually has 3 great grandma's, which we love very, very much. Mamaw has kept him since I went back to work when he was 8 1/2 weeks old. Now, she takes him to MDO 2 days a week. She is such a blessing to us and our family. Mamaw is so kind hearted and WONDERFUL!!! Pax is so lucky to be able to stay with her every single day. The bond between these two makes my heart smile. While we were on vacay last week she called and wanted us to bring him bye because she missed him..LOL!!
Just a little about where pax stays and the wonderful person who keeps him..We love you mamaw:)

Last Few days in the Pool

This weekend we took the pool down. Now our yard has a nice dead brown patch of grass where the pool was. So sad to see the summer leave but looking forward to the fall. Pax has enjoyed the pool so much. I will admit the hubby and I enjoyed it too. It was nice on hot days to just go chill out in the pool for a few minutes. We definitely got our monies worth out of it. Hopefully we can use it again next summer. We will miss you summer and our little pool, so long for now!!

20 months

Pax-

Time is just flying bye. So much has changed since last month. It still amazes me with everything that you do. You are a little learning machine. A few weeks ago you started MDO going just a few days a week. You still cry when we drop you off but they say it doesn't last long. I know it will get better. So onto the things you do.

• wear size 4 diapers
• you are a busy body
• you like puzzles and balls
• you say a lot of words, some we hear often: balloon-pronounced boon, ball, mama, dada, pease(it is so sweet and i can't say NO), uh oh, ouch...
• you love us to kiss any boo-boo you get
• obsessed with boons
• you like to eat a lot but still have acid reflux issues so boo on that
• you sleep very well and have to have a nap or you are a bear!
• STILL love the water
• you love dogs especially ours

The list could go on and on but I will stop here. You are our little piece of heaven We love you to the moon and back.

Happy Boy

I just love the pictures below. Mouth wide opened and having a great time. He is so funny these days. He has his real laugh and his fake laugh and they both crack me up. I just can't get enough of those laughs..

*SIDE NOTE* Please pray for our Little pac man. His spitting up has returned and we will have another call into the GI this week. Ugh, it's so annoying and I can only imagine what it feels like to him. So if you can please say little prayer this goes away!!

The other night pax and daddy had a fun time playing. Of course wrestling and rolling on the floor was involved. Boys will be boys!! Pax loves for his daddy to tickle him and roll around on the floor with him. I heart these times..
