Lions, Tigers and Bears-Oh My

Paxton's 1st trip to the ZOO
Yesterday we took pac-man to the zoo and had a blast. We were joined by mimi, granny, grumps and aunt Katie. We got there shortly after it opened and before it got too hot. Believe me, it was still HOT. Wasn't to sure how he would do but let me just say his head never stopped moving. There was so much for him to look at. Daddy, paxton and aunt katie(to the side) hanging out by the cow.
I just love meerkats. They are so cute..

Our first picture of the day:) He wouldn't look at the camera for anything.

Family picture in front of the pretty flowers. Let me just say my post preggers body is not ready for summer clothes. Lots of work to be done.

A little baby

Just chilling...

Officially done with the zoo. He had seen enough. Our little pac-man did so good. We hope you had as much fun as we did paxton..I see MANY more trips in our future. Thanks for going mimi, granny, grumps and katie bug. On another note paxton went to the church nursery for the first time today. They said he did really well except for his spit-up. What's new?? I am going to call the pediatrician tomorrow, we can't take it anymore:( We have asked once but going to ask 1 more.

Show Us Where You Llve-The Nursery

Show Us Where you Live Friday - Children's Rooms and Nurseries

http://www.kellyskornerblog.com/2009/05/show-us-where-you-live-friday-childrens.html

WELCOME TO PAXTON'S ROOM

This is his animal bedding. We decided to go with a animal theme. Pac-man loves looking at his animal friends..

The changing area, we spend lots of time there. Pac-man loves to look at the animals. He just laughs and talks to them.

This is where all his books and important stuff is displayed. His memory box is so very special, I hope he will enjoy it one day. The Memphis football his papa chief gave him, his bible, dad and baby statue and his piggy bank are a few things you see here.

His curtains which took my mom and I forever to find. I was grumpy that day, thanks mom for sticking with me. I am proud of what we found.

His lovely crib. Joe and I are very proud of his bed. Paxton loves his bed and sleeps there every night. My mom did his name above his bed and it turned out so cute.

This is his other dresser. On top is a basket of toys and a little lamp. My wonderful mother-in-law gave it to us. When she bought it was blue, she painted it and put new fabric on the shade. Looking at at you would never know it started out blue! Also their is a plate up there with the Tennessee Titans on it that everyone signed at the hospital. It is a nice memory to have.

Not Much Going On Today

We did go visit Paxton's great-great grandmother. She is in her early 90's. I hope GOD blesses me with they type of life she has. She is a wonderful lady. We call her baba and she is such a inspiration. Paxton has started waking at 5am and it is not fun. He had been sleeping until 6:45 ish. Oh well, it could be worse.
Pac-Man and his sad face. He already doesn't like getting his picture taken

New fruit

Tonight we tried B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Now I have the gwen stefani song in my head. I wasn't sure if he liked them at first. He gave us a awful looking face. No, I didn't capture it on camera. I need to be lighting fast and I have not conquered that task yet. Never fear I am working on it, Then he started crying for more so I knew we had a winner. He ate 1 tablespoon of the bananas and 2 tablespoons of barely cereal and of course his bottle. Don't be jealous of that lovely dinner:) He is getting to where he doesn't like the cereal since we started giving him fruit. Hope that doesn't last.

We hope you guys have a good night..

What a Difference a Year Makes

Sorry this post is late. We got home late last night, my brother graduated from the 6th grade. Way to go, Cory. We are so very proud and wish you lots of fun in the coming years. Enjoy it will go by fast.

A year ago yesterday, I was sitting in the doctors office with a million thoughts running through my head. As I was called back, all I could think was our life is about to forever change. The doctor walked in and said well I see someone here is pregnant. Did I just hear her right?? Of course, the tears formed and I had to take a deep breathe and feel the moment. We went over some things and I was sent on my way. My big concern was, we had just got back from Disney and I had rode all kind of rides. She said you and the baby are fine, the baby probably liked flipping around..ha/ha..I called Joe ASAP and said well it's 100% true. (not that the 5 home test were lying to us) So here we are now and Paxton is almost 5 months old. Wow, what a year!!

Pac-Man-

We just want you to know you are so very special to us. I can not think GOD enough for giving us YOU(our little piece of heaven) . Your dad and I feel so blessed that GOD chose us to raise one of his children. With that said we hope to provide you with all you need. Our love will be unconditional and our arms always open. Our hearts filled with so much love the moment we saw you and continues to grow with love everyday. That smile and laugh of yours lights us up every time. I know here soon you will be using that to your advantage:) We hope one day you go back and read this blog and see how truly special you are to us. We love you so much Paxton.

Long day but good overall

We did the exersaucer for the first time and he loved it.

Man, he didn't know what to play with or which way to turn.

Hi. mom and dad-I love this thing

That little mind is churning.
Pac-man decided to rise before dawn this morning. I know you are jealous of 4 am risings. We was not into going back to bed, so we slept on and off on the couch until about 6:30ish. He couldn't handle it any longer. So he ate and we started the day. Joe woke up about 7 and went and got us chick fil a. It made me feel yucky all day and sick:( BOO We hope tonight is a better one, because it's off to work.
Thank you to all the soldiers out there on this memorial day...

Restful Sunday

Playdate, this was at the end of the day. They really had a good time.
giving kisses...

Last night pac-man stayed at mimi and papa chief's. They all had a good time. He slept all night for them:) Paxton got to play with miss. brentley rae. They had fun hanging out and looking at each other. We hate we missed it. I will try and get a picture up of them playing. We went and picked him up after church. We ate lunch with my parents and then headed home. Once we got home we played on the floor for a little while. He is getting good at rolling from his back to his tummy. After that I held him a lot, I just missed him so much. I enjoyed just being with my 2 boys this afternoon and of course our dogs. What a perfect afternoon. I couldn't ask for anything better.

Friday at last

Smiling at his daddy-He loves to stick his tongue out and for you grab it.

We are so glad the weekend is here. Let's see, Paxton went back to the DR. today to get the oral vaccine they give. He gained 4oz in a week, so he is now a even 14 pounds. Other than that it was a pretty normal day. He loved his bath tonight, well he seemed to be really into. He loves when you squirt him with the toys. Pac-man thinks it is so exciting. We love seeing him get excited like that. It melts my heart. I can't wait to see what he does in the pool this summer.(fingers crossed he likes it) Tonight we tried prunes and he liked it. I was surprised because they sure looked gross. But hey I wasn't the one eating them. We have swaddled paxton at night since he was born and we are not going to do it tonight. The doctor suggested we stop it since he can roll over. He has to get use to it at some point, right??. He looks so cute swaddled, just his little cute baby face sticking out. Let's hope it all goes well.

On another note, I sure hope some people out there read our blog. We love blogging about our life, we just hope our family, friends and the blogger world enjoy it too. We need some followers:) We hope you guys have a wonderful weekend

Daddy and His Little Man

Paxton goes to his mammaws from about 7am until 9:30ish, then his dad picks him up. So Joe and pac-man are together until I get home. Joe really enjoys keeping him, I sure wish I could be at home with them. On to the good stuff:) Joe does things around the house through out the day, but paxton had other ideas about what dad should do. So my smart hubby decided to put pac-man in the wearable baby carrier. It really work's for both of them. Joe can do what he wants and paxton can be right there with daddy looking around. Might I add, looking around is one of his favorite things. The carrier also helps pac-man build those neck muscles so he can sit up by himself. I am so glad my boys get to be together, I know he is in good hands all day!(yes, little paxton is telling me, your #1 mom..ha/ha) I guess he does't like taking pictures.

Back to Great-Grandmothers We Go

Pac -Man has been back at his mammaw's for 2 days. Things are back on track. Paxton is glad to be back in that familiar place. Then again who wouldn't want to be at there grandmother's. Let's see what else has been going on?? Paxton is starting to get curious about his feet. He is so funny to watch. The baby applesauce has truly been a big hit. We are moving on to prunes here soon. Sounds good, right?? This weekend we are going to put together his exersaucer, we will let you know how that goes. I think he will love it since it has so many toys attached. It is so fun to watch him discover new things.

Take Me to the Baseball Game

Paxton and aunt angie
Just Chillin

We had a good but busy weekend. Yesterday, we went to my cousins baseball game. Josh and Blake won 6-4, way to go boys. On another note my cousin Jacob made it to state with CBHS baseball team, CONGRATS....Paxton had a lot of fun out there. I don't think his head stopped moving the whole time. He just didn't know what to look at. Luckily for us the weather was nice. After the game we took pac man to his granny's. He spent the night and had the best time. Joe and I went to Rain and had sushi, yum:)

Today we slept in, that was so awesome. We have to take advantage when we can.

Fun with Papa Chief

Today Pac Man's papa chief kept him. They had a good day. There were a few surprises along the way too. Papa chief was the first one to see Paxton roll from his back to his tummy:) Way to go Paxton. The other surprise papa got was not exciting at all. You can use your imagination there. The boys had a good morning just hanging out. Thanks papa chief for taking such good care of him today. On another note, Paxton ate baby applesauce for the first time. We gave it to him before he had his night bottle. Of course he LOVED it..(the picture was taken awhile back)

New Day, New Experience

Today was another first for Paxton. He stayed with his aunt Karen. Mam maw has shingles so she is unable to keep him for a little while. Pax and Karen had good day together. They both enjoyed it. Joe picked him up at his normal time and they headed hone until it was DOCTOR time. Yes, today was his 4 month check-up. He weighed in at 13 pounds and 10 ounces and measured 25.5 inches. Our little pac man is turning into a big PAC MAN. Of course after all that fun came 2 shots, he was not a happy camper:( It took some time to get him calmed down enough to leave. It broke our hearts to see him that upset.

Here is some things Paxton is doing at 4 months:

supported sitter

rolling from tummy to back

rolling from back to side

grasping toys

swatting at toys, especially on the car seat

cooing

laughing out loud(which is so cute to hear)

putting any and everything in his mouth

Nana Pegs House

Today Paxton stayed at his Nana Peggy's for the first time. Things seem to go very well for both. She really saved us to today by watching him. Paxton enjoyed looking at his new surroundings and bonding with Nana Peggy. Peggy enjoyed holding Paxton a lot. He got to watch cartoons and lay on a blanket and play. Then Daddy picked him up and Paxton ate. Then he took a nap. After that we played and did his "My Baby Can Read". All in all it was a great day. Tomorrow is going to be rough; will comment on that tomorrow.

Our First Post

I never thought I would be one to blog but here I am. Joe and I decided to do this for several reasons. One, we wanted family and friends to be able to keep up with what's going on with us. Two, we want Paxton to have these memories at his fingertips. Plus it's a fun way to keep track of our hectic lives. I am hoping Joe will even write some stuff, we shall see. So bare with us as we figure all this blogging stuff out. This post went better than I thought it would. So maybe it will not be as hard as I thought.
